About REIC Tampa Bay

Purpose of REIC
The Real Estate Investment Council ("REIC") is an organization of Tampa Bay professionals that share a passion for commercial real estate. Our dynamic community brings together industry leaders, investors, brokers, developers, and other real estate professionals who are committed to excellence and growth in the commercial real estate sector. Founded on the principle that collaboration drives success, REIC serves as the premier networking hub for those who understand that real estate is not just about properties—it's about people, relationships, and shared opportunities.

Our mission centers on three core purposes that drive everything we do. First, we are dedicated to keeping our members informed of the latest business and financial news in the real estate market, ensuring they stay ahead of trends and market shifts that impact their success. Second, we create a vibrant forum for the exchange of ideas, where innovative thinking meets practical experience and where members can learn from each other's successes and challenges. Finally, we provide an unparalleled setting for members to develop new business contacts, fostering relationships that often evolve into lasting partnerships and collaborative ventures. Through regular meetings, educational events, and networking opportunities, REIC continues to strengthen Tampa Bay's commercial real estate community while advancing the professional growth of each member.

History of REIC
The REIC was formed in 1983 as the Tampa Bay Investment Council. We incorporated in 1984 as a not-for-profit corporation, and changed our name to the Real Estate Investment Council, Inc. in 1987. In 1991, we qualified for federal income tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
